The jazz pianist and composer Ramiro Zayas, based in Basel-Berlin, has been active in the scene for several years. In his music, Zayas combines his understanding of modal jazz, free improvisation, and Argentinean music. Among his works, his debut album as a leader, "Rio Interior" (2019), can be heard, where the artist showcases sophisticated harmonic exploration and solid skills as a composer. Planned for March 2024 is the release of a new album “Parte del Viaje”.
Discovering the connection between emotions and music is what interests him the most, and he strives to apply this both in his own project and in his works for large ensembles or big bands.
